  15. <p>     SENTENCED. DEHUNDRA CALDWELL, 18, high school student; to 12
  16. months' probation for the theft of $20 worth of ice cream bars
  17. from a school cafeteria; in Thomaston, Georgia. Last year Caldwell
  18. was given three years in prison, a punishment denounced as draconian
  19. and racist by civil rights and community leaders. Caldwell served
  20. 10 days before being freed pending a review of his case. As
  21. part of his new penalty, he will perform 40 days of community
  22. service and pay $600.
